"Petrichor" is a painting close to my heart, where I blend both visual and olfactory elements to create an immersive experience. The term "petrichor" refers to that earthy scent following rain, which I aimed to capture using a mix of lavender oil, vetiver oil, and geosmin fragrance with acrylic colors.
By blending the soothing floral notes of lavender with the deep, smoky undertones of vetiver and the earthy aroma of geosmin, I sought to evoke the essence of rain-soaked soil and nature's rebirth. The colors I chose—greens, browns, and hints of lavender—reflect this sensory experience.
"Petrichor" goes beyond traditional painting, engaging multiple senses to evoke memories of refreshing, rain-drenched landscapes. It is a piece that invites viewers to not only see but also feel and smell the beauty of nature.
